Nadia Camil Badran is a social development and child protection specialist with more than 30 years of experience working across health, social promotion, education, and counseling related to children, adolescents, youth, and adults. She led national and regional initiatives focused on capacity strengthening, policy advocacy, and community-based responses for vulnerable populations. Her work spans child protection, positive parenting, youth engagement, mental health, sexual and reproductive health, substance use, and HIV/AIDS, with a strong emphasis on culturally responsive and rights-based approaches.

Nadia has designed and implemented hundreds of workshops and training programmes across Lebanon and the MENA region, using participatory and behavior change methodologies to support practitioners, communities, and institutions. She has worked extensively with UN agencies, international NGOs, and government partners as a trainer, lecturer, policy contributor, and member of regional advisory committees and expert groups. Nadia holds a PhD in Social Sciences, a master’s degree in counseling Socio-Educatif from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, and a bachelor’s degree in social work from the Lebanese University. She currently serves as President of the Social Workers’ Syndicate in Lebanon and as Executive Director of an NGO in Lebanon. She is based in Lebanon.
