Maestral Europa
Registered in Estonia, Maestral Europa enhances our engagement with bilateral and multilateral development partners across Europe and globally.
Maestral Europa
Maestral has a long-standing relationship with European child protection and social policy agendas. Our work has contributed to EU-level thinking on children in alternative care, family support, and social inclusion, including technical inputs to the feasibility work underpinning the EU Child Guarantee. We have also supported regional learning across Europe and Central Asia, including mapping and analysis of parenting and caregiver support programs to strengthen family resilience, child wellbeing, and prevent family separation. Maestral Europa is designed to deepen policy engagement, support coordination across actors, and strengthen the link between EU frameworks and country-level implementation.

Maestral has been deeply engaged in Ukraine, working since 2022 with UNICEF and the Government to support an ambitious care reform agenda linked directly to EU accession. This includes supporting the development of a national care reform strategy and roadmap, expanding family-based care, advancing costing and financing, strengthening the social service workforce, and ensuring that humanitarian and reconstruction investments contribute to a resilient and sustained family-centered care system.
We connect EU policy priorities, financing instruments, and global commitments with practical systems strengthening in partner countries. Maestral Europa aims to support coherent, child-centered responses that advance protection, inclusion, and resilience for children and families in Europe and beyond.
