Leonora Borg has more than twenty-five years of experience providing safeguarding and child protection support across the private, public, and third sectors in the UK and internationally. She has founded, led, and governed national and international NGOs in Director, Manager, and Trustee roles, and has worked directly with children and young people, boards and trustees, governments and statutory agencies, businesses, and sporting bodies. Leonora has extensive experience working with vulnerable groups, including street-connected children and children with disabilities. Leonora serves as Maestral’s Child & Adolescent Wellbeing Thematic Hub Lead.

Leonora specializes in reviewing, developing, and implementing national strategies, policies, systems, and organizational structures. Her technical expertise includes participatory monitoring and evaluation with children and young people, prevention and response to online violence, safeguarding within sport and business contexts, and the development of practical toolkits and guidance for diverse stakeholders. Leonora holds an MA in English Literature, a diploma in International Development Management and is Prince2Project Management qualified. She is based in the United Kingdom.
