Assessment on Systems Strengthening: Social Service Workforce

Maestral completed a Social Service Workforce (SSW) Assessment and System Analysis for the Strengthening of the SSW. This assessment and analysis aimed to understand the current status of the SSW in Turkey; identify challenges or trends and generate discussion on recommendations to strengthen strategic plans, policy development, advocacy and programme implementation in order to ensure that the workforce is well planned for, developed and supported to provide the highest quality services to children, including children with disabilities and children with special needs, as well as their families. Maestral also supported the Planning the Social Service Workforce, which involved the development of an action plan for strengthening the MoFSS social service workforce; defining the functions (authorization and responsibilities) and work procedures for social workers; developing a SSW supervision and support system; and providing recommendations for cooperation with civil society and professional associations in the area of SSW strengthening.
