Dr. Nadia Badran is the President of the Social Workers’ Syndicate in Lebanon and the Executive Director of SIDC, with more than 30 years of experience in health, social promotion, education, and counseling related to children, adolescents, youth, and adults. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences, a master’s degree in Counseling Socio-Educatif from St. Joseph University in Beirut, and a BS in Social Work from the Lebanese University. Dr. Badran has implemented hundreds of workshops in Lebanon and the MENA region on topics such as mental health, HIV/STIs, youth vulnerability, and workplace inclusivity. She has developed programs addressing sexual and reproductive health, mental health, gender and sexual identity, substance use, and HIV/AIDS, working with minorities, migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable groups. She is an active human rights defender and policy developer, a trainer and lecturer with UN agencies and international NGOs, and a member of various regional advisory committees and expert teams.
