Viktoria Perschler

Senior Associate

Viktoria Perschler is an international consultant with over 25 years of experience in child protection and 15 years in gender-based violence. She is a strategic thinker who has demonstrated capability to work at national and community level to effectively design, monitor and evaluate programs and projects. Viktoria has worked with a wide range of stakeholders, including government ministries, intergovernmental organizations including UNICEF, UNWOMEN, IOM, UNODC, OSCE and UN missions; international and national civil society organizations, EU Delegations, USAID and Consultancy firms. She has developed inclusive national child protection and prevention of gender-based violence strategies and action plans, is an experienced trainer and has carried out numerous assessments, reviews and evaluations. Viktoria’s technical experience lies particularly in the areas of access to justice for children, child labor and trafficking and in prevention and response to sexual gender-based violence. Having a law degree, she has also repeatedly been involved in law, judicial and police reform processes and worked on various human rights and rule of law issues. Viktoria has lived in Africa for over 20 years and worked in 15 countries in Southern, East and West Africa as well as in Armenia, Brazil, Colombia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Haiti, Portugal and Austria. She is fluent in German, English and French, has a very good working knowledge of Portuguese, good command of Spanish and basic Arabic.
